Braden update
Sorry it's been a while since our last post. Braden had a GI appt. today. Dr. Acra thinks that Braden is not aspirating or refluxing anymore based off our conversation. He has ordered an additional study with Braden's suck/swallow study schedule for Jan 16th. If all goes well we may get to take Braden off meds and start him back on bottle feeds. Tomorrow Braden has a routine MRI follow up. So Braden doesn't eat past 1 am which means I will get 6 hours of uninterupted sleep tonite. I am so excited. I am glad his MRI is early and the no feeds are during the nite. It's easier on Braden. Braden will be turning 1 year old on Saturday Jan 10th. It's unbelievable a year has already past. It comes with sadness as well as joy. We miss Kaleigh and keep her in our hearts as we celebrate Braden's amazing life. Braden now weighs 14 lbs 8 ozs.

Braden
3/11/08 Both eyes open. Taken with the lights down and no flash. He won't open them otherwise.
Braden
2-4-08 Sometimes it's just too hard to get a non blurry shot. He is so small. But, this is a picture without tape on his chin.
Kaleigh
1-21-08 with both eyes open. Mommy had a hard time with the camera so my apologies for the blurred photo.
Braden
1/20/08 Little Kaleigh's photo last nite didn't come out. They had her in the dark so it was difficult to get a good shot. :-(
Kaleigh Grace
1-19-08 She doesn't look so comfortable but they had just flipped her back on her back. She would rather be on her belly.

Stephen & Stephanie,
It looks like good news from the GI doc just in time for Braden's birthday! It's also great to hear how much weight he's been able to add and to see chubby cheeks and dimples . . .
I wish Braden the very happiest of first birthdays tomorrow. And I send him best wishes that his second year will be filled with wonderful days of health and happiness.
Please know that Kaleigh, as well as Braden, holds a special place in our thoughts and in our hearts. We send our support and prayers to you all as you celebrate Braden's heroic first year and honor Kaleigh's memory.

I saw this plant a tree for baby. The kids and I are going to plant a tree for Braden and one for Kaleigh in our yard this year. I know they will both be ones with flowers for each spring.
