Braden's swallow study is scheduled for this Friday. It's with nervous anticipation that we find out about a date for Braden's trach reversal. If this study goes well, which I can't imagine it won't, then we will get a surgery date. Not sure if it'll be same day or not. Braden has passed all his swallow studies in the past. Not to say stranger things haven't happened where we could be surprised and he not pass. Just hoping he will... since RSV season is around the corner and when he's 3 he will be passed on to the school system. We want him to be free of the trach for his safety being around other kids and illness.
Braden loves being around people. I really hate holding him back but at the same time want the timing to be right. If there is such a time. Floy and John actually got a house around the corner from ours. Now Braden will have a whole other place to explore. They won't be there all the time. Just visit like now but it'll be so nice for Braden to see different walls than the ones of this house. Last summer we couldn't go for walks in the stroller because of Braden's cast. This year we can't go due to the horrible HEAT. Maybe on one of these occassionally cooler days we can go back to the Zoo. I think he will enjoy it more now that he is older.
Braden is now sleeping in a toddler bed. He transitioned really well. I was kind of surprised he wasn't a little scared waking up in a different room and bed, but we planned it for a while. We talked about the new room and spent time in there prior to having him sleep in the new room. Now if we can just get it decorated.
Grayson is doing well. He is now eating more during the day and finally sleeping a little longer during the nite. I don't know if it's helping me or not since this change happened in just the past few days. Grayson is trying to crawl and stretches his legs to stand. He holds his head up fairly well and is so alert. I can't believe he is only 6 weeks old. Last pediatrician visit he did fairly well with his shot. He weighed in at 9 lbs 2 ozs and 21 inches long. Get this he is way low on the growth chart. The pediatrician said not to worry. I was thinking worry why would I. lol I have told her in the past Stephen and I are not tall people and that we were both very skinny as kids. So I won't be surprised if both our kids, preemie or not, are little. As long as they eat good I'm not worried.
Hope everyone enjoys the new pics.

Good luck with the swallow study!!! They're both looking sooo good!!!
Aha! The lure of TWO grandbabies was just too much for Grandma Floy and Grandpa John to resist. It turns out that among their other excellent qualities, Braden and Grayson are also good for the local real estate market! I'm sure everyone will be happy to have the Harris grandparents close by at their 2nd house . . .
You know we're all sending Braden the very best wishes to pass his next test with flying colors . . . then he can move on to the trach removal (well before RSV season) and be on his way to Big Boy School. That will be a great day for Braden!
Glad to hear that Grayson is sleeping a little more at night and a good eater - exactly what he's supposed to be doing right now!
